Mark M. Holeman Inc., award winning landscape and design company, raised over $3700 for the Little Red Door Cancer Agency at their 50th Anniversary Celebration on June 1st.

With over 350 guests, delicious food provided by Black Diamond BBQ Catering, and the wonderful music of Bloomington based blues band Built for Comfort, the members of the Mark Holeman team – everyone from the groundsmen to the owners – came together Friday, June 1st, 2012 to celebrate Mark Holeman’s 50th year serving the people of Indiana.  The date was significant in that the company began on that very date 50 years ago on June 1st, 1962.

As part of their celebration, Mark M. Holeman chose the Little Red Door Cancer Agency as recipient of any money raised at the event.  Established 65 years ago, Little Red Door is the oldest, local cancer resource in central Indiana striving to make the most of life and the least of cancer, helping over 7,500 Hoosiers each year.  Members of the community large and small came together to donate food, products, and services to be auctioned off for the cancer charity.

“The 50th Celebration was fabulous!” exclaimed John Katterjohn, President of Mark M. Holeman, Inc. “It was wonderful to see all the employees, customers, and vendors together enjoying an evening of music, great food, and camaraderie. There was an atmosphere of great celebration and it became a fitting tribute to the founder himself, Mark Holeman, who sat in his chair greeting the guests, reminiscent of royalty receiving court.”
