Don’t forget that the 52nd annual Decorators’ Show House and Gardens in now under way at the historic Schnull-Rauch House.  If you have an interest in interior or landscape design you couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to see the work of some of the best local talent in these fields. It’s been a busy opening week at the Decorators’ Show House and Gardens and with the warmer weather the crowds will only grow.  It’s a fun way to spend a couple of hours and help support the St. Margaret’s Guild.  The St. Margaret’s Guild is a terrific local charitable organization which provides much needed support to Wishard Health services.

We are especially proud of the garden we created this year, which transformed a dilapidated asphalt covered space into an eclectic, soothing and casual courtyard garden.  Over the first week we have received a lot of compliments, questions, and comments, especially on the unusual bubbling boulder fountain tucked away in one corner.  To complete the feel of the garden, we included ornamental dried chiles and gourds, as well as a variety of ceramic pots.  We’ve been especially surprised at the amount of interest we have had for the kitschy, miniature terracotta pots with sculpted faces we included.  It’s great to hear so many people enjoy a little bit of whimsy in their garden.   If you like them and think they would make a great addition to your garden too, the pots, as well and other plants and furnishings from the garden will be available for sale following the show.Face pots
