Lemon Balm Refresher isn’t something you would think we would talk about on this blog, but following the theme of our last blog post on outdoor kitchens, we thought it might be fun to list a refreshing summer drink that is good for you too!  Everyone is trying to be more health conscious with what they put in their bodies.  The Lemon Balm Refresher may simply look like water, but there are other things that make it special and healthy to drink on those hot summer days.  One of Mark M. Holeman, Inc’s. own employees makes this drink regularly for her and her family.  Angie says, “It is so much healthier for me and my family.  I care what they eat, drink, and where their food comes from.”

Lemon Balm, also known as Bee Balm, can relieve tension, calm the nervous system, and help the digestive system.  She also found that it is perfect for people with anxiety because it will help lower blood pressure.  Angie says, “I’ve also tried ice cold water with lemon balm, mint and cranberry juice.  It was a cool treat for a warm summer day.  For cooler winter days, I’ve also made tea with lemon balm leaves.  I simply brew the tea with the lemon balm leaves, strain it after approximately five minutes and drink it warm.”
