It’s time for new beginnings 2015 and with the start of a new year and a fresh season in front of us, I would like to take the opportunity to share with you a few exciting changes to our staff.
Many of you have probably met John Katterjohn, our maintenance manager, whom over the past twenty years ran and oversaw all of our ongoing residential maintenance clients, helped us manage our day to day business activities and gave himself unselfishly to our business. At the end of December John made the decision to retire so he could spend more time with his family, travel, and enjoy hobbies. During 2014, we have been working with John and key employees to transition John’s responsibilities.
With the transition well under way, I am happy to introduce Ben Edington to you as our new maintenance manager. Ben has spent most of his eight years with our company visiting your properties as our IPM pest management applicator. During this time Ben has become very familiar with not only our clients, but their properties as well. At the beginning of 2014, Ben began working with John managing our maintenance crews, scheduling, and further acquainting himself with his new role and the maintenance department. I think you will find Ben to be a very humble, responsible, hard working, and dedicated individual.
Along with Ben’s transition, you may have noticed a new face behind the lawn spreader. Terry Fadely has been working with Ben for the past season, serving the needs of our IPM pest management clients. Terry has worked hard for our business for the past thirteen years during which he was a dedicated team member in the maintenance department. With Ben’s move to our full time maintenance manager, Terry will be operating our IPM department full time.
Both roles require individuals who are dedicated, conscientious, trustworthy, and loyal. We are blessed to have them in our ranks and are proud of them for their ongoing efforts to help our business be all it should be for our clients. You may also have spoken with Ben and Terry at the Binford Farmers Market over the last few years. Both will be playing larger roles at the market again this season.
We are encouraged and excited about the upcoming season and look forward to serving all of you again this growing year. Don’t fret, spring is really just around the corner.
